On most airlines, if the flight is delayed from departure at the specified time, the passenger has the right to request the air carrier to provide refreshments and drinks starting at the first hour of the original departure date.

In the delay take more than three hours from the original scheduled time for departure, the passenger has the right to demand a meal.

The passenger has the right to have a hotel accommodation and transportation to and from the airport if the delay period exceeds six hours from the original time set for departure.

Moreover, when you fly inside the EU, and you are flying with a European carrier or if your flight departs from the EU, your rights are protected by European Commission Regulation No. 261/2004. If the flight not be delayed due to weather or other extraordinary conditions, then you have the right to be compensated when a flight has been delayed more than 3 hours, delayed for less than 3 hours but because of that you missed a connection flight, the flight is cancelled or overbooked.
