Can I travel domestically in the U.K?
People can go outside but they cannot sleep in other places than their homes. Hotels and other accommodation providers can host people only under specific circumstances, but tourism is not one of them, at the moment.

Malaysia is still not open for tourism, but holders of work permits or foreign students are allowed to return. There is no test required for boarding a flight to Malaysia, new travelers will be tested on arrival. There are also no restrictions on domestic travel. Most businesses are open, with social distancing restrictions in place. Bars and clubs remain closed. Quarantine for 14 days in a state-designated facility is mandatory. Foreign citizens need to cover the cost of their stay, returning Malaysian passport holders only pay half of the cost. The total cost of the stay, including 3 meals a day, is 4700 MYR. All new arrivals need to submit a Letter of Undertaking and Indemnity and an Entry Permit. United Arab Emirates
International travelers can visit Dubai with health measures in place. All new visitors are required to present a negative COVID-19 test done in the previous 4 days. Restaurants and attractions are open, respecting social distancing and other hygiene regulations. Abu Dhabi is planning to re-open for international tourists in January 2021.
Afghanistan
Some commercial flights are now available. The land border with Iran is now open. New visitors are encouraged to self-isolate for 14 days if not showing symptoms. If travelers are displaying a fever, they will be hospitalized. Regular visa requirements apply. For foreigners, it is advised that they book a travel guide before their trip. A scarf is required in all sightseeing places.
Azerbaijan
Air and land travel have been suspended. All visitors need to quarantine for 14 days in a state facility.
Bangladesh
Public transportation, including domestic flights, are now operating with reduced capacity. Commercial flights have resumed but there still are entry restrictions for citizens of the following countries: Bahrain, Bhutan, Hong Kong, India, Kuwait, the Maldives, Malaysia, Nepal, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, and the UAE.
Bahrain
International travel is very limited. Residents or long-term visa holders may return, but everyone will be tested for COVID-19 upon arrival. A 14-day quarantine is mandatory for all visitors. Masks are mandatory in public spaces.
Bhutan
The country is on lockdown. Bhutan nationals may enter the country, but they will be subject to a mandatory 14-day quarantine.
Brunei
International travel is restricted. Foreign citizens are not allowed to enter the country for tourism purposes. All visitors are required to take a COVID-19 test and quarantine for 14 days in a state-designated facility.
Cambodia
International travel is now possible, but travelers need to present a negative COVID-19 test dated no longer than 72 hours prior to arrival. All travelers must also be insured medically with a coverage of minimum 50000$. Travelers will be tested upon arrival and will be quarantined in a state facility if they test positive. If they test negative, travelers are allowed to self-isolate at home. At the end of the quarantine period, travelers will be tested for the second time.
Iran
UAE nationals can no longer enter Iran. Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau nationals are now required to obtain visas. Quarantine is mandatory for all new visitors.
Iraq
Airports and borders are open, but only a limited number of flights is available. The restaurants are open only for take away/delivery. Negative PCR tests are mandatory for everyone entering the country.
Israel
Nationals and permanent residents may return home, but they need to quarantine for 14 days in a state facility or in their own homes, provided there are no other people living in that housing unit. Public transportation is also not available to new visitors. However, Greece and Israel allow vaccinated tourists to travel between these two countries without restrictions. An official smartphone app is available for the vaccinated people (or healed after COVID infection) and it works like a passport that grants them access to bars, hotels, pools and other public places. Masks are not mandatory in outdoor places anymore.
Jordan
International commercial flights are now available, but passengers need to complete their travel declaration form and self-isolation is required. The number of weeks for isolation depends on the country’s color and it can be checked here.
Kazakhstan
International travel is currently limited to nationals, residents and other few exceptional cases. New visitors will be tested for COVID-19 and quarantined for 2 days. In case they test positive, they will be hospitalized. If they test negative, they can quarantine at home for the remaining 12 days. The Smart Astana App is helping citizens cope with quarantine measures. Domestic travel between major cities, including the capital, is also restricted.
Kuwait
International commercial flights are now available and the borders are open for most countries. Restrictions are still in place for travelers coming from Bangladesh, Philippines, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Iran or Nepal.
Kyrgyzstan
International travel by land or air is suspended. Nationals and their immediate relatives may return home.
Laos
International travel by land or air is suspended. A 14-day quarantine is mandatory for all citizens returning home.
Lebanon
Lebanon is open for tourism. A negative test done maximum 96 hours prior to boarding is required. Two more tests and a 3-day quarantine are mandatory after arrival. Vaccinated travelers are exempted from isolation. Restaurants are open but a night curfew is in place between 08:00 PM and 05:00 AM.
Maldives
The Maldives resumed international commercial flights, but cruise ships are still not allowed to enter and dock. The same rule applies for private yachts, safari boats or other personal vessels. Travelers are not required to self-isolate for 14 days, while locals have to do this when returning from abroad. Tests are done randomly and quarantine is imposed if results are positive. Starting with September 10, tourists must present a negative PCR test done maximum 72 hours prior entering the Maldives.
Mongolia
International commercial travel to Mongolia is suspended until at least March 31, 2021. Foreigners are not allowed to enter the country, unless they already have a valid residence permit or a long-stay visa. A quarantine of 21 days is mandatory for everyone entering the country.
Myanmar
Both international and domestic travel in Myanmar are restricted. Some restaurants may now open if they respect new health regulations. A curfew from 12:00 AM to 4:00 AM is currently in place. People should not gather in groups larger than 5. Residents are permitted to use their personal vehicles within authorized hours, provided there are no more than 4 people in the car, including the driver. A 21-day quarantine in a state facility is mandatory for most travelers, followed by a 7-day quarantine at home.
Nepal
International commercial flights are now available, but land borders are currently closed for most nationalities. Suspected cases will be quarantined for two weeks. A 7-day quarantine is mandatory for all travelers, unless they can present a vaccination proof. Also, a negative test done maximum 72 hours prior to boarding the flight is mandatory for everyone entering Nepal.
North Korea
International travel is restricted. New arrivals need to quarantine for 14 days.
Oman
International flights have been suspended. Residents who exhibit symptoms need to contact health authorities for quarantine guidance.
Pakistan
Pakistan is now open for travel. Outbound international flights are available from all major airports, excluding Gwadar and Turbat. Qatar Airways is flying to Doha regularly. There are currently international flights to Pakistan from Jeddah, Doha, Kabul, Beijing, Kunming, Frankfurt, Muscat, Dubai and London. Passengers departing Pakistan could be denied boarding if they fail a temperature check. There are no domestic travel restrictions and masks are required in public spaces.
Philippines
The country is closed for touristic purposes. All new arrivals need to test and quarantine in a state-designated facility for 14 days. There is a curfew in place, so mobility is limited. You can find all the details regarding traveling to the Philippines in our dedicated page.
Qatar
Only citizens and residents are allowed to enter the country at the moment. Air transfer through Qatar is permitted. A 14-day quarantine is mandatory for all new travelers. Some public spaces and restaurants are allowed to operate with reduced capacity. Masks are mandatory outside as well.
Saudi Arabia
All international and domestic travel is suspended. Restaurants are only open for take-away. Non-curfew hours are between 9AM and 5PM. All new visitors will be quarantined for 14 days upon arrival.
Sri Lanka
Some outbound flights are available, but inbound flights are used only for repatriations. Borders are closed for tourism until further notice. Domestic travel is permitted. Tests and a 14-day quarantine are mandatory for those returning home, usually followed by another 14 days of self-isolation. Social-distancing measures are in place. Masks are compulsory. Syria
International travel is suspended. Land borders are closed for non-essential travel.
Tajikistan
All international travel is suspended. New arrivals must quarantine for 14 days.
Thailand
Travelers can now apply for tourist visas (TRV) or for special tourist visas (STV) again. A negative COVID-19 test no older than 72 hours is necessary to enter the country. Travelers who received permission to enter Thailand have to undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine (ASQ) in a pre-booked designated hotel. Two or three tests are done during this time, and all need to be negative in order to obtain a free movement permit. Domestic travel is now permitted.
Turkmenistan
International flights are grounded, and land borders are restricted. Any arrivals must self-isolate. Some private flights may operate out of Turkmenabat Airport.
Uzbekistan
International flights are grounded. Legal Uzbek residents may enter by land. Foreign nationals may be allowed to leave by land, although it is generally difficult.
Yemen
Yemen has suspended all flights to and from Sanaa International Airport.
Africa
Algeria
International travel is suspended and land borders are closed. Public transportation in cities is now available. Businesses have started to reopen. Masks are mandatory in public spaces. Most major cities, including the capital, are under curfew from 8PM to 5AM.
Angola
Land borders are closed and international air travel has been suspended. Travelers must present a negative test but they still need to self-isolate for up to 14 days, depending on when the test was taken. Most businesses and entertainment venues have been closed.
Benin
All new arrivals must take a COVID-19 test and be isolated for up to 48 hours or until the result is confirmed to be negative. Travelers need to pay for the tests themselves, which cost around 100,000 CFA ($165/€153) each. Authorities can hold the passengers’ passports to make sure they comply with isolation rules. If travelers test positive, they will need to quarantine in a state-designated facility at their own expense.
Botswana
Travel to Botswana is restricted. Only citizens and residents are allowed to enter the country. New travelers arriving from high-risk countries need to complete a 14-day mandatory quarantine in a state-designated facility. Food will be provided during the quarantine period.
Burkina Faso
The Ouagadougou and Bobo airports resumed activity in August, but the land and sea borders remain closed.
Burundi
Borders are open but quarantine for 14 days is mandatory unless presenting a negative test when entering the country.
Cameroon
Some commercial flights are now available, but most are still suspended. The 14 days quarantine is mandatory, even if negative tests are required for a visa.
Cape Verde
International air travel has been suspended. People are now allowed to return home from a different island, but they will be tested. Most businesses are closed. Public transportation is available, but with limited service.
Central African Republic
The airport is open but only very limited flights are available. All new arrivals must quarantine for 21 days if they are coming from a country with confirmed cases of COVID-19.
Chad
International air travel is now allowed, but limited options are available. All travelers are required to present a negative test taken 72 hours prior to the departure, surrender the passports and isolate for 7 days, when taking another test. Passports are returned when presenting the test receipt. The curfew is no longer in place.
Comoros
International air travel is currently suspended. Ports prohibit traffic from countries where cases of COVID-19 were reported.
Côte d’Ivoire
International air travel is now available but land and sea borders remain closed.
Djibouti
Borders are now open, but tests are mandatory when entering the country. Costs are supported by the travelers.
Egypt
International commercial flights are now available, but visitors need to present negative PCR tests and health insurance. Some provinces (like Sinai, Red Sea province and others) can receive travelers but will not allow them to exit the area.
Equatorial Guinea
International air travel is now available. All new arrivals must quarantine for 14 days if they cannot present a negative PCR test.
Eritrea
International air travel is suspended until further notice.
Ethiopia
Commercial air travel is available, but with limited flight options. A 14-day quarantine is mandatory for all new arrivals. The quarantine expenses will be covered by the travelers.
Gabon
International commercial flights are now available. Non-essential travel is prohibited by land or sea. A curfew between 8:00 PM and 5:00 AM is in place across the country. Domestic travel is now allowed. Restaurants with outdoor services and hotels have resumed activity. Masks are mandatory in public spaces.
Gambia
International air travel has been suspended. Land borders are also closed. New travelers must quarantine for 14 days in a state-designated facility.
Ghana
Some international commercial flights are now available but land and sea borders are still closed. Negative PCR tests are required for entering Ghana and extra antigen tests are conducted upon arrival (costs are covered by passengers).
Guinea
Before traveling to Guinea, all passengers need to have a negative COVID-19 test. New travelers will be tested again upon arrival. Those who test positive will be immediately sent to Donka Hospital. Passengers who test negative at the airport and do not show any respiratory symptoms will be transferred to a hotel for a 14-day mandatory quarantine. Both Guinea nationals and foreign citizens must comply with the rules.
Guinea-Bissau
All international travel by air, sea, or land is currently suspended.
Kenya
Some commercial international flights are now available. Negative PCR tests are required for entering the country. Quarantine is not required for those coming from the countries mentioned here, unless they are symptomatic.
Lesotho
Non-essential travel is prohibited. There are currently no flights between Johannesburg and Maseru operated by SAA Airlink. Moshoeshoe airport and some border crossing points are open but operate under strict regulations and limited hours. Entry and exit in the country are permitted with approval from authorities, provided the travelers are facing a life threatening condition and are seeking immediate medical support. All travelers returning from countries where COVID-19 cases were reported need to quarantine for 14 days at home or in a state-designated facility at their own expense. They will be monitored by health officials.
Liberia
Commercial flights are now available. Land borders are closed, but ports are open for maritime travel. All new arrivals will be subject to a temperature test and will be asked to wash their hands with soap and water upon arrival. If you show symptoms of coronavirus, you might be required to quarantine in a designated facility.
Libya
The borders are closed and there is no official information on when the ban will be lifted.
Madagascar
Both international and domestic flights have been suspended. The ports are closed for cruise ships. There is no official date about the time when leisure travel can be resumed.
Malawi
International travel has been restricted. Only nationals and residents that are coming from a high-risk country will be allowed to enter Malawi. All new arrivals need to quarantine for 14 days at home or in a state-designated facility. Self-quarantine in a hotel is not allowed. All new travelers will be screened upon arrival. If they show respiratory symptoms, they will be taken to a state-designated facility for quarantine and treatment.
Mali
Some commercial flights are now available and land borders are open again. Quarantine is mandatory for all new travelers, until a test done after entering the country is negative.
Mauritania
All international travel by either land, sea, or air is currently suspended.
Mauritius
The country is currently on lockdown. No travelers are allowed to enter the country, including residents.
Morocco
Borders are open only for citizens, permanent residents and their close relatives. A negative PCR test done maximum 72 hours prior to entering the country is needed. Provinces are split into 2 categories, with restrictions on moving from one to another. Restaurants, hotels and cafes are closed in Agadir, Casablanca, Marrakech, and Tangier. In other places, businesses can stay open until 8:00 PM. There is a nationwide curfew in place from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Commercial flights are not available at the moment. Mozambique
International commercial air travel is still suspended. Moreover, all new arrivals need to quarantine for 14 days.
Namibia
Some international commercial flights are now available, but land borders are still closed. In order to enter Namibia, travelers need to present a negative PCR test done maximum 72 hours before their arrival in Namibia. No, quarantine is not mandatory. All international arrivals will be tested on day 5 of their trip. The results will be ready within 2 days. Those who test positive will be quarantined in a designated facility at their own expense.
Niger
International air travel has been suspended. Land borders are currently closed too. All new arrivals coming from countries where cases of COVID-19 have been reported need to self-quarantine for 14 days.
Nigeria
International commercial flights are suspended. Leisure interstate travel is prohibited. There is a curfew from 10:00 PM to 4:00 AM in place across the country.

Republic of the Congo

Rwanda
Some commercial flights are now available and travelers can enter if they present a negative test done 72 hours prior to the departure. Another test is done on arrival and a third one at the chosen hotel after check-in. If all of them are negative, quarantine is not imposed. If any of the tests come positive, the traveler will be transferred to a state-designated facility. Hotel reservations are required before entering Rwanda. Senegal
International air travel has been suspended. Land borders are closed too.
Seychelles
International air and sea travel have been suspended. Transit is also prohibited, unless approved by the Ministry of Health. Returning nationals need to quarantine for at least 14 days upon arrival.
Sierra Leone
Some commercial flights are now available but an authorization from the government is required before traveling. In order to get approved, one must present a negative PCR test done maximum 72 hours prior departure and a proof of payment for another COVID-19 test done on arrival.
Somalia
Some flights are now available and passengers can enter the country if they can present a negative PCR test done maximum 72 hours prior to departure.
South Africa
International commercial air travel is resuming. Some land borders are open. All travelers need to present a negative PCR test done maximum 72 hours prior to entering the country, otherwise quarantine is mandatory.
South Sudan
International air travel has been suspended. Land borders are open, but neighboring countries have restricted travel. In order to enter the country, travelers need to have a medical negative COVID-19 certificate dated no longer than 48 hours prior to departure and permission from the National Taskforce.
Sudan
All international travel, either by land, sea or air has been suspended. Public transport is not available.
Swaziland
Entry and exit to the country can only be made from Eswatini. Only nationals and residents are allowed to travel. Returning travelers need to quarantine for 14 days in a state-designated facility. Some travelers may be allowed to self-isolate at home.
Tanzania
There are no more travel restrictions in Tanzania. Even though new travelers will be screened for respiratory symptoms upon arriving in Tanzania, the 14-day quarantine period is no longer mandatory.
Togo
There are currently no inbound flights available, but there are some limited outbound options. Travelers arriving from high-risk countries must quarantine for 14 days under medical supervision, test for COVID-19, and then self-isolate for 7 more days. Travelers who test positive will be hospitalized at CHR Lome Commune Hospital.
Tunisia
Borders are now open, with different measures applied to travelers coming from different countries. Visitors coming from a „green listed country” can enter Tunisia without a test, but it is mandatory to self-isolate for 7 days in a hotel at their own expense.
Uganda
Some flights are now available. Lake ports remain closed. New arrivals must quarantine for 14 days in a state-designated facility at their own expense and tested for COVID-19 at the end of this period. Provided the test is negative, travelers will be asked to self-isolate at home. Some businesses are now open.
Zambia
Land borders are open, but travel has been restricted by most neighbouring countries, so it is best to check their restrictions in advance. The border crossing with Tanzania at Nakonde is open. Tourist visas for foreigners have been suspended. All new arrivals will be tested for COVID-19 and will be quarantined in a state-designated facility at their own expense for up to 14 days while waiting for the results. Provided the result is negative and it arrives before the 14-day period ends, you may leave the facility and self-isolate at home for the rest of the period. International air travel is available for essential purposes.
Zimbabwe
All international travel has been suspended. Returning nationals and residents must quarantine for 21 days in a state-designated facility.

Australia
Can I travel to Australia?
No, Australian borders are closed for tourism. Australia has restricted entry of all travelers who are not Australian citizens, residents and immediate family members of Australian citizens. The restrictions should last until at least June 2021.
Can I travel domestically in Australia?
Yes. However, various restrictions apply between states. Some remote communities require quarantine for all arriving travelers.

Indoor dining is open but occupancy limits differ between regions.

New Zealand
Access to New Zealand is currently only available to legal residents of the country or their immediate family. All arrivals must self-isolate for 14 days, except for aircrews and transiting passengers.
American Samoa
Entry Permits are currently suspended for foreign travelers, but legal residents of American Samoa and/or the United States may enter. Travelers who have recently been in high-risk regions may be screened on arrival and instructed to observe quarantine.
Cook Islands
The travel restrictions of New Zealand apply to the Cook Islands, meaning that only legal residents of the Cook Islands and New Zealand may enter at this time, as well as their immediate family.
Fiji
Fiji has announced entry restrictions for foreign national travelers who have been in the United States, China, Italy, Iran, or South Korea within 14 days of arriving in Fiji. Arriving travelers may be required to self-isolate for 14 days at the discretion of local officials.
French Polynesia
All arriving travelers must have a recent medical certificate (dated less than 5 days before departure) to enter the country. Additionally, Sanitary Control forms must be completed on the flight. Health checks are conducted on arrival, and results may require self-isolation.
Guam
Travelers who have been in any infected countries in under a week may not enter. Additionally, all arrivals must be able to demonstrate that they have been tested negative with COVID-19 within 72 hours of arrival. The Guam Department of Social Health and Services has guidelines for this. Any arrivals who lack documentation will be required to self-isolate.
Kiribati
There are travel restrictions against travelers from high-risk regions.
Marshall Islands
All air travel into and within the Marshall Islands is banned.
Micronesia
Only travelers who have been in a country free of COVID-19 infections for 14 days or longer may enter.
Palau
Palau has restricted entrance of travelers who have been in China, Hong Kong, or Macau in the past 14 days.
Papua New Guinea
Only essential inbound travel is permitted, and all arrivals must quarantine in designated facilities for 14 days. Some domestic flights are now permitted.
Samoa
No flights are permitted in or out of the country until further notice. Entry by water is also restricted.
Solomon Islands
International commercial flights are grounded until at least March 27, and only legal residents are permitted to enter at this time.
Tonga
Only legal residents are permitted to enter at this time. Borders are closed, and international travel is restricted.
Tuvalu
Only travelers who have been in a country free of COVID-19 infections for at least 5 days, or who (and whose watercraft) have been away from infected countries for at least 30 days, may enter.
Vanuatu
Borders are currently closed with no commercial flights entering or leaving Vanuatu.
North America
USA
Check out all the countries you can travel to and their travel restrictions if you are from the USA. PCR tests are now mandatory for all travelers coming back to the USA. The United States lifted travel restrictions for students from China, Iran, Brazil, South Africa, the Schengen Area, the UK, and Ireland, who plan to study in the U.S later this year. Students from these countries attending an academic program starting August 1 or later can enter the U.S without applying for an individual National Interest Exception (NIE) within 30 days prior to the start of their academic studies. Vaccinated people can walk or hike without using face masks, and more restrictions will not apply to them, depending on each state.
Alabama
Can I travel to Alabama from another state?
Yes, travel to Alabama is permitted.
Can I travel freely inside Alabama?
Yes, but gatherings of any size that do not respect social distancing measures are prohibited. A six-foot distance should be kept between people at all times, including on the Alabama beaches.

Barbados
Commercial air travel is now available. You are advised to present a negative PCR test done 72 hours prior in order to benefit from fast track immigration. Otherwise, depending on your country of embarking, you will have to test on arrival.
Belize
Belize is open for tourism. You will need to present a vaccination certificate at least 2 weeks old or a negative PCR test done maximum 96 hours before entering the country. Otherwise you will be charged for taking a test on arrival. You should download the Belize Health App and provide all the required documentation within 72 hours of arrival. Also you need to complete the Customs and Immigration form and to book a room in a Gold Standard hotel and present the confirmation to the immigration officers. There is a curfew from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM for adults and 6:00 PM to 5:00 AM for minors. There are no restrictions on moving around the country. You can use public transportation, but you need to wear a mask in public. Gatherings are limited to 10 persons. Bermuda

Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba
Each island has different restrictions. Bonaire – Travelers with a negative test and valid insurance may enter. Flights from Europe started to resume this month. Sint Eustatius – Travel from high-risk regions is not allowed. Travelers from medium-risk regions must self-isolate for 14 days. Saba – Only legal residents of this island are allowed to enter, and these must self-isolate for 14 days on arrival.
Cayman Islands
All international flights are banned, and any arrivals must quarantine for 14 days. If they are staying with family or roommates, these others must also quarantine for the duration.
Costa Rica
Citizens coming by air from the EU, Schengen area, the UK, Canada, Uruguay, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore and China can enter Costa Rica with valid travel insurance and negative PCR test. Cuba
No air travel is permitted in or out of Cuba, and all foreign watercraft must leave as soon as it is medically or technically possible, as permitted by government authorities.
Curacao

Argentina

International commercial flights are now allowed, but options are very limited. Those who want to enter the country have to get their negative PCR tests certified by a Bolivian consulate in order to be exempted from quarantine. Land borders are still closed.
Brazil
Only legal residents (or immediate family) may enter Brazil via the land borders at the moment, but foreigners can come by air, with a valid health insurance. Airports in Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraiba, Rondonia, Rio Grande do Sul and Tocantins are still open only for residents. Sea ports are also closed for foreigners.
Chile
Borders are closed for foreigners, and ports are closed to all cruise ships. All travelers to the country must self-isolate for 14 days. Non-essential travel is restricted and movement between sanitary cordons require police authorization.
